Formed in 1991 and led by multi-instrumentalist Stian Carstensen, Farmers Market built a reputation for virtuosic, rhythmically complex arrangements and high-energy live performances. They have released multiple studio albums (including Surfin' USSR and Slav to the Rhythm), won Norway's Spellemannprisen in 2008 and 2012, and have performed at major international jazz festivals.
