Founded by Jim King and currently led by Musical Director Jim Butz, JoySwing Jazz Orchestra is an 18-member ensemble that presents sacred big-band jazz for churches and Christian organizations. The group performs arrangements of traditional hymns, spirituals, and contemporary Christian songs and has appeared at venues such as The Jazz Kitchen and the Columbia Club. JoySwing features experienced professional and educator musicians and offers concert programming designed as a ministry of music.
