Steve Taylor (Roland Stephen Taylor, born December 9, 1957) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and filmmaker who rose to prominence in the 1980s for his satirical, socially pointed songs. He founded Squint Entertainment, produced and wrote for other artists (notably Newsboys), and directed/co-wrote the film Blue Like Jazz. After a long hiatus he returned to recording and touring in the 2010s with projects including Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil and has received Grammy and Dove award nominations.
