Rock
After his success with his first band the Range and several solo projects, Grammy award-winning, multi-instrumentalist Bruce Hornsby found a new sound with his roots-meets-rock-and-roll Noisemakers. Hornsby spent much of the 1990s assembling a crew of touring musicians with more of an exploratory approach to music. With an improvisational spirit that electrifies his live performances, Hornsby is best known for spontaneity and enthusiasm.
An amalgamation of jazz, folk, classical, and rock, the Noisemakers have since made quite a bit of noise on the jam band circuit. Besides Hornsby, the band also includes JT Thomas (Keyboards, organ), Bobby Reed (saxophones, flute), JV Collier (bass), Doug Derryberry (guitar, mandolin), and Sonny Emory (drums).
