Butler’s talented percussion students will perform on an extraordinary array of instruments—from the thunderous sounds of bass drums and timpani to the rich, shimmering colors of marimbas, vibraphones, cymbals, and much more. Each piece explores a different side of the percussion world, creating a musical experience filled with captivating rhythms, textures, and sounds.
Led by Percussion Artist-in-Residence Jon Crabiel, the ensemble presents an adventurous program featuring music by some of today’s most creative and innovative composers. Drawing inspiration from classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, and world music, the concert celebrates the limitless possibilities of percussion.
